1970s Vintage Zuni Bear Totem Fetish Necklace

A hand crafted animal fetish necklace made by a Zuni artisan, consisting of various individually carved animals or "fetishes," each representing a specific spirit or power according to Zuni tradition. The fetishes are carved from various semi-precious gemstones, shells and other natural materials.

This necklace featuring 24 small animals and 1 large bear totem at the bottom measuring 2.25" in length. Clasps at the back with two hooks. Bear is a carved plastic, all the other animals are carved stone.
