1970s Vintage Wrangler x Peter Max Cosmic Jump Patchwork Pop Art Jeans - RARE & ICONIC

Iconic, original 1970s crazy "Cosmic Jump" pop art pattern pants with contrast pink checkerboard front pockets & PM's signature blue star back pockets. Engineer stripe contrast panel on the back rear. Wide belt loops. Low rise fit. Leather Peter Max patch on the left back pocket & Wrangler leather patch on the right. Well made & in incredible, hardly worn condition. 

This Junior Women's line was only sold for a very short period of time from 1971 to 1973, so it's extremely rare and hard find, not to mention highly collectible. They were reproduced by Wrangler a few years ago in 2017, but not this exact pattern (only the solid colors). 

Included in the photos are a few of the original ads. While 1971's output by Wrangler was pants and shorts only, in 1972 Wrangler added 3 styles of shirts and 1973 also included a peacoat. 1973 was the final year of production.
