Absolutely gorgeous checkerboard mod dress by Elinor Simmons for Malcolm Starr in the late 1960s. What makes this number so absolutely unique and to die for is the checkerboard is actually interwoven black and white ribbons! With black velvet collar, waistline, and bottom hem, this dress is a mod girl's dream. It is SO well made, with great structure and fully silk lined, long zipper and hook closure on the back. It is heavy material and drapes / wears beautifully. And it has pockets!!
