We just adore this paint splatter dress with little pointed collar, ruffles across the front and on the sleeves, and big classic full 50s skirt! Slightly sheer robin's egg blue cotton fabric. Buttons up the front with cute original square black buttons.
Does it have a Jonathan Logan tag? It does. HOWEVER - it was common for home seamstresses back in the day to sew in a designer's tag to perhaps fool, at first glance, that their garment was store-bought. The only thing that's amiss is that a Jonathan Logan tag of this era was always embroidered and they didn't finish the top of the tag.
Also to note, is that this seamstress was incredibly talented. All those ruffles you see are hand-tacked. Every seam is done very well, with precision. What you have is a unique and truly one of a kind find, handmade in the 1950s. We only wish we knew the true creator!
